I have a 2200 watt honda generator with two 15 amp, 120 volt extension cord outlets that i would like to connect to the 30 amp trailer input to provide 120 volts to run may tv, dometic refrigerator, charge the battery, and 12 volt lights through the 12 volts battery I know weight and lugging the 7000. This looks like one of the best honda generators i have ever seen advertised Have talked to folks and researched enough to have decided we'll go with a honda but i'm torn between the eu3000is vs the eu7000is vs 2 eu2000is model 7000 watts, inverter efficient, 50 state epa compliant, electronic fuel injected
Nowhere on the internet could i learn if they could be combined.
I have been using two honda 2000's (one is the companion) with the parallel kit for three years now and have had no problems Together they run one ac and anything else i need just fine When the ac is not needed just one of the generators is all i usually need. I’m not new to rving but am new to generators
I’m considering buying a portable “suitcase” style generator because of their light weight I’m planning on boondocking later this summer in wy First question is about grounding It seems every manufacturer recommends or requires the portable be.
I wasn't sure where to put this, so the general area wins
I was playing with you tube tonight & found an interesting mod for the honda eu1000i & eu2000i generators, to have additional run time from an external fuel source Looks pretty easy & cheap Here is a link to the video. It has a 4 prong 30 amp plugin that you use an adapter to get the 50 amp plug on my fifth wheel
I have concerns about 240v going to my big horn but have read that the electrical box in the rv splits the 240v into two 120 v's and this generator will power both ac's and most everything else Anyone have one of these honda eu7000is generators? I'm trying to help a rv'er here at the park with his eu3000is generator that wont start We found out that it is not getting a spark
Was working fine a few weeks ago
How long to recharge batteries we are currently camp hosts at pawnee campground in colorado (no electricity) and must use our 2 honda generators to recharge the battery on a daily basis During the night, the battery consistently. A simple three light receptacle tester will always show a ground problem when plugged into a honda generator, i.e Mine indicates an open ground
Page 17 of the eu2000i manual states honda portable generators have a system ground that connects generator frame components to the ground terminals in the ac output receptacles. Just got our first rv (heartland 2850 bh) and looking at generator options We've only got one ac unit
