I have a splash text appear upon clicking on a sprite 1 like samsano march 31, 2023, 6:15pm 3 I am wondering how i can hide this text after a set amount of time

Cursor clicks on sprite, splash text appears, wait 3 seconds, splash text hides. My recommendation is to move the player sprite out of the way of the enemy sprite after being hit, like knockback I have followed the platformer tutorial and i am making my own game

It’s doing the normal kind of clean up, new tile map, splash screen but i’m not sure if there’s anything an application could do there which would prevent the aforementioned destroy sprite working? The game checks for an overlap every 1/30th of a second, or 30 times a second If you have the player lose a life when it is overlapping an enemy, it will actually be overlapping that enemy 30 times a second and will lose its lives that fast
